Here is the front cover of movie magazine premiere advertising the film 'Spider-man 3.' While this does not fit my movie trailer genre I still feel that it is a good movie magazine cover to analyse as it is a simple yet effective design. For starters the background is just a simple plain white background, which is very different to the other cover I looked at, http://lewisglennonmediaa2.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/blog-post_31.html, where the background was of a city. Now while the background of a city might suit my magazine if both Castro and Poezzi are on it, a plain background might be more effective if I opt to just have Poezzi on my front cover. This would allow me to dedicate the magazine just on the main character which will intrigue the audience and help pull them in. Also the picture of this magazine is a medium shot of Spiderman and he is giving direct address. This lets the audience feel a connection to the character as he is directly addressing them and I could use this with Poezzi but perhaps give him a sinister look like he is targeting the audience, before basing the cover lines all around him. However I might just have a shot of him sat in his chair as it may look more effective. This magazine has helped me build up another possible idea for my magazine and has shown me how I can make a simple design look effective.
