In a previous blogpost,
http://lewisglennonmediaa2.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/drafting-and-planning_17.html, I had started to construct my poster on photo-shop by taking out the background of Poezzi and adding in a plain white background. Now I have started to mix in the background with Poezzi similar to past products I have looked at,
http://lewisglennonmediaa2.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/organisation_20.html. I decided not to stick with my original plan of mixing in Castro with Poezzi as it did not look effective, so decided just to mix in a building with Poezzi to show my audience the city he 'rules.' I first gathered and image of a building I took while in Krakow and using photo shop faded it into Poezzi's body as shown by the first image. I then added in the film title and placed where the name of three actors will go, with them being the name of Poezzi, Castro, and the head detective. I will put the first names in blue and last names in white to stick to the main colours off the poster which gives a really nice cool effect. I then added in the title of the film in the center of both Poezzi and the city to show the audience how big the name Poezzi is on the city I then added in the tagline 'a new dawn, a new day.' I was going to use the tagline 'every king must fall' but felt that the new day tagline fits better with how Poezzi, a typical old styled gangster could be falling to a new younger gang leader. I then faded in the tagline with the background as it looks very effective and keeps to the whole fading in part of my poster. Finally I simply added a 'coming soon' tagline on the bottom to show the audience that the film will be out soon.
This looks so good, I really like the buildings within his shadow and the tag line is very fitting :)
ReplyDeleteIt sums up the film, including story, character and genre, well, meaning it will appeal to it's target audience
