Here is the front cover of Empire magazine with the film 'American gangster' as the main story. I decided to look into this as I don't really look at movie magazines so therefore won't know how to properly portray Poezzi and Castro for my magazine front cover. Also having already analysed American Gangster, http://lewisglennonmediaa2.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/similar-products-editing-used-in.html, I knew that this film had some link to mine. Here it has both the main characters at the center of the magazine with the cover lines sort of going down like a list. This is so you mainly focus on the appearances of the characters as the black one is dressed in a very nice suit and the white man is clearly a detective as shown by his badge. You can also clearly see the gun so due to them being at the centre it lets you focus on the props and 'look' to let you know that is a gangster film. Also the taglines under the actors names which shows the role of each character. This is something I could do with Poezzi and Castro because if I make them the center of the magazine I could fit in a tagline, like 'Poezzi the king of the gangs,' and then 'Castro the man looking to replace him,;' or something similar to that. Overall this magazine has helped me because I now have an idea of how to set out my movie front cover.
